INTERBAU-BLINK
Over 100 years ago, the companies now known as Alois Korzilius Interbau – Fabrikation für moderne Baukeramik GmbH & Co. KG and Bernhard Link GmbH & Co. KG were founded.
Today, the Interbau-Blink Group is 100% owned by the Uta Korzilius-Kern Foundation, which currently supports the Kinderkrebshilfe Mainz e.V. (Children’s Cancer Aid Mainz).
Profits are either reinvested in innovative projects or used for charitable purposes.
Today, Interbau-Blink is owned by the Uta Korzilius-Kern Foundation, which took over the company’s shares following the passing of Mrs. Uta Korzilius-Kern in 1989.
The foundation was established on August 9, 1989. It is a legally recognized public foundation under civil law, dedicated to the common good and permanently committed to it according to its statutes.
Currently, the Kinderkrebshilfe Mainz e.V. (Children’s Cancer Aid Mainz), chaired by Prof. Dr. med. Jörg Faber, Alte Gärtnerei 2, 55128 Mainz, is regularly supported with funds from the foundation.
As a foundation-based company, management and employee representatives work together as partners in an active coalition.
In the early years, the company produced a wide range of ceramic products, from drinking vessels and feeding troughs to stoneware pipes. From the mid-1960s onward, the focus shifted to the production of wall and floor tiles.
At that time, the still independent companies quickly developed into well-known ceramic specialists in tile extrusion technology, each with different product portfolios targeting various market segments.
In 1999, Alois Korzilius Interbau – Fabrikation für moderne Baukeramik GmbH & Co. KG acquired 100% of Bernhard Link GmbH & Co. KG from the Link family, allowing it to meaningfully complete and expand its product range.
Kannenbäckerland, a traditional ceramic region in Germany, continues to offer favourable conditions for the companies based here. These include regional raw material deposits, good transport connections and proximity to research and development institutions.
The company is led by Olaf Mayer, graduate engineer in ceramics (FH) and industrial engineering (FH), and Bernd Mannheim as Managing Directors.

The Interbau-Blink Group employs around 250 people at its two locations in Ransbach-Baumbach.

We work with our customers, suppliers and service providers on a long-term basis. Our business relationships are characterised by reliability and continuity.
Interbau-Blink manufactures its products according to its own factory standards and the regulations applicable in Germany. Our products are manufactured at our sites in the Westerwald region using clay sourced from the Westerwald region.
In the manufacture of our products, we take into account the use of raw materials and energy. This includes the selection of suppliers and raw materials, as well as the use of raw materials and production materials throughout the manufacturing process.

Located in the Kannenbäckerland region, directly by the A3 motorway, we have good transport connections. This enables reliable and efficient deliveries in all directions.

We take a considered approach to the use of raw materials and energy and take into account the impact of our production on the environment and resources.
Depending on the ceramic body, Interbau-Blink tiles contain more than 70% clay. Most of our clay is sourced from the Westerwald region. The proximity of our clay suppliers allows for short transport distances.
As a member of the VEA initiative “Klimafreundlicher Mittelstand”, Interbau-Blink addresses energy efficiency and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. We also operate an energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001. The relevant principles and measures are documented within our energy management system.
