German Tile Industry at
BAU Munich 2025
As an international leading trade fair for construction products and innovations, this year’s BAU, held from January 13 to 17, focused on resource efficiency and the requirements of climate-conscious building.
Aligned with this central theme, several tile manufacturers in Halls A3 and A4 demonstrated that ceramic is an exemplary material for environmentally responsible construction with a low CO₂ footprint—whether as a durable floor covering, robust wall cladding, or highly energy-efficient, low-maintenance façade solutions.
Two leading German tile manufacturers, including Interbau-Blink, presented their new product innovations, showcasing why ceramics provide a sustainable solution in every respect for the demands of our time.
Our corporate group was present at the fair with the new “Tonwerk” brand. Here is an excerpt from the BKF press release:
"Under this brand, the manufacturer offers its façade brick slip range and presented many new, highly aesthetic product designs in Munich. The company places great emphasis on sustainable production. In addition to a large photovoltaic system, which was further expanded last year, Interbau-Blink continuously invests in state-of-the-art, energy-efficient production facilities.
Together with the proximity to raw material quarries, this ensures highly sustainable and extremely durable products that, in combination with external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS), make an important contribution to energy-efficient and climate-friendly construction and living."
