For World Childhood Cancer Day:
€100,000 for Cancer Research
Kinderkrebshilfe Mainz e.V. has been supporting projects for children and adolescents with cancer for over 14 years. These initiatives complement the high-quality medical care provided at the Pediatric Oncology Center of the University Medical Center Mainz.
The main focus of these donation-funded projects is research. While some cancers now have cure rates of up to 80%, there are still highly aggressive tumor types with very limited chances of survival. Even in more treatable cases, some patients do not respond to conventional therapies.
On this World Childhood Cancer Day, we are proud to share this press release from Kinderkrebshilfe Mainz e.V.:

Through our support, we are pleased to help ensure the continuity of this vital research project. In the spirit of our foundation’s founder, Uta Korzilius-Kern, we are committed to advancing childhood cancer research together.
