Joining the BKF
Stronger Together
Effective January 1, the Interbau-Blink Group has joined the Federal Association of Ceramic Tiles (BKF), which unites the leading German tile and split-slab manufacturers.
Membership in overarching associations allows the BKF to provide its member companies with crucial information – ranging from occupational safety, emissions control obligations, and energy & environmental protection, to raw material security, tax matters, and continuously evolving legal regulations and compliance requirements.
The association’s activities and services include providing comprehensive information, guidance and support to member companies across a wide range of topics. Managing Director Olaf Mayer (photo, 2nd from right) on joining the BKF: "Never before have medium-sized companies faced such immense pressure to adapt. Energy-intensive production in Germany, coupled with extensive bureaucracy - especially in the context of the energy transition - and the ongoing transformation toward CO₂-neutral production cannot be managed as a lone player.
What could be more logical than to unite our interests? Furthermore, we are happy to participate in the successful end-customer campaign ‘Made in Germany Tiles’, as we are convinced that domestically produced tiles offer added value in terms of sustainability, service, logistics, product liability, and much more along the value chain—benefits that will increasingly serve as strong selling points in the future."
